Kootenay River Runners
Kootenay River Runners
We provide neoprene river booties, helmets and life jackets for all guests. Small children (typically those 8 & under depending on size) are also provided wetsuits. On cooler or rainy days we also provide splash gear including jackets and pants for all participants.
Snack and/or lunch will be provided and served riverside depending on which tour you are booked on. Unfortunately, due to the remote nature of our trips we can not accommodate all food allergies, but all products are nut-free.
Kootenay River Runners provides free photos for our Kootenay trip. They are posted daily on our Facebook page. We do our best to provide lots of great photos daily, however we provide them for free as we can not guarantee them.
Come dressed according to the weather. On hot days we recommend wearing a t-shirt or tank and shorts; quick-dry athletic material is best. Avoid heavy cotton, such as denim. Children wearing wetsuits are typically most comfortable in a swimsuit. On cooler days we still recommend shorts (worn under our splash pants) and a T-shirt or long-sleeve shirt. A fleece jacket is also great to keep you warm under the splash jacket. Following the trip, there are souvenirs & merchandise available and gratuities are optional with both card or cash payment.
Leave as much as possible at home or locked in your car. Bring any necessary medication in a ziplock back. Pack one bag, including sunscreen if you like, for your group if possible. If you would prefer you could also include a water bottle and a snack for the trip home in your bag.
We will safely store your keys at our office or you can secure them in your backpack.
